Empowering the Next Generation of Dental Researchers

On June 18, 2025, the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network (National Dental PBRN) was delighted to host a “Lunch and Learn” event for the College of Dentistry’s Summer Research Program (SRP) students. This engaging gathering provided a comprehensive overview of the Network and dental practice-based research, highlighting the practical applications and implications of scholarly research in real-world dental settings.

The 2025 SRP students were a cohesive and enthusiastic group, actively participating in meaningful discussions and demonstrating a genuine passion for advancing dental health through research. Our “Lunch and Learn” event is designed to introduce the Network and its mission, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical implementation, and fostering a new generation of dental professionals committed to translating research into action.

This collaborative effort by the National Dental PBRN underscores the critical importance of practice-based research in driving innovation and excellence in dental science. As our Summer Research Program participants are preparing to begin their first year of dental school this August, we wish them all the best and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the field of dentistry.
